The Rochester Community Unit District #3A is scheduled to meet on Wednesday, February 21st, at 6:30 p.m. at the Bruce Hayes Administration Center.
This meeting is a place for the school board to accomplish important work. It's also a place for them to acknowledge important work that is happening in the district. The board is expected to recognize ILMEA finalists and their hard work. Those finalists will also be performing a song for the board.
The district is working on several initiatives to improve the school and the community of Rochester. On the agenda will be consideration for the schematic design for the RHS Athletic Complex, Science Wing, and Student Services Construction project. This will include a presentation by BLLD explaining the designs and taking questions from the school board.
Child care is an ever-present issue for working parents and the board. Rochester CUSD will bring a proposal to the board to help the Rochester community with childcare.
Likewise, board members are expected to vote on a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between the Board of Education and the Rochester Education Association.
