Rochester Student to be featured at the Metropolitan Museum of Art

Rochester, IL – [7/19/2024] – Katherine Keller, a 2024 alumna of Rochester Community Unit School District #3A, has achieved remarkable recognition in the art world. Her piece, "Angel Kisses," has earned the prestigious Scholastic Gold Medal and American Visions Award, and it will soon be featured in a special exhibit at The Metropolitan Museum of Art (The MET) in New York City.

Keller’s artwork was selected as part of the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards 2024 National Exhibition, a testament to her outstanding talent and dedication to the arts. The Scholastic Awards are renowned for identifying and celebrating the creative achievements of young artists and writers across the country.

The American Visions Award is one of the highest honors bestowed by the Scholastic Art & Writing Awards. Each region across the United States selects five American Visions nominees from their Gold Key-winning works, representing the best of their local programs. Katherine's "Angel Kisses" stood out among thousands of entries, showcasing her exceptional skill and vision.
