Mr. Krepel accepts certificate on behalf of school for improving Annual Summative Designation.

Rochester Elementary 2-3 School received special recognition during the December Board of Education meeting. Board President Amy Reynolds presented the school's principal, Mr. Randy Krepel, with a certificate of recognition from the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE).

"This is something to be truly proud of for our staff," said Reynolds. "These teachers give their whole hearts to our students, and this certificate from the state is evidence of just how much they care."

Mr. Krepel accepts certificate on behalf of school for improving Annual Summative Designation.

The certificate of recognition from ISBE commends Rochester Elementary 2-3 for improving its summative designation on the state report card from 2023 to 2024. On the 2024 state report card, 2-3 received a commendable status for their work in early childhood education. This designation means that the school has "no underperforming student groups."

"This is wonderful, and it's all thanks to the wonderful men and women who work in my school!" said Mr. Krepel.

In addition to the ISBE certificate, Rochester Elementary 2-3 was recognized by U.S. News and World Report as one of the Best Elementary Schools in the state of Illinois.
