March 28, 2022 - As the Rochester CUSD #3a school district continues to move forward the Board of Education reviewed the Curriculum and Instruction Council’s recommendations for a new math textbook series at Rochester High School as presented by Mrs. Suzanne Keller. The Board approved the adoption of the Reveal Math textbook series from McGraw Hill for the 2022-2023 school year for algebra, geometry, and algebra II.
The building committee presented recommendations for summer projects including the approval of phase II energy savings projects with Veregy. The scope of work totaling $1,012,838 includes replacing the chiller and HVAC work at the EC-1 campus, HVAC controls commissioning, repairs/lighting upgrades at the EC-1 campus, and electrical repairs at the football stadium. The scope of work for repairing the flood damage incurred in the kindergarten and pre-kindergarten wing is being finalized. Insurance coverage will cover the majority of the scope of work. The Board approved a contingency cost of up to $80,000 of district funds to complete the repairs.

Amendment to Superintendent’s Employment Agreement - The Board approved a motion to extend the superintendent’s employment agreement through the 2024-2025 school year.
