The Rochester CUSD #3a Board of Education held its regular meeting on Wednesday, August 17, 2022, at 6:30 p.m. The Board reviewed the tentative district budget for FY23, placing it on display at the Bruce Hayes Administration Center and the District website for 30 days. There will be a public hearing on the FY23 budget on Wednesday, September 21, 2022, at 6:15 p.m. in the Bruce Hayes Administration Center prior to action during the regular meeting scheduled for 6:30 p.m.
During administrator reports, all principals reported that this has been the best start to school over the last three years. Faculty and staff have done a tremendous job of getting their schools and classrooms ready for the return of students. The cooperation and support from Rochester families were also recognized as everyone gets back into new routines. Superintendent Cox added, “This week we have heard a lot of laughs, seen many smiles, met new friends and colleagues, while we said ‘welcome back’ to many familiar faces. It’s truly been a great week to be a Rocket!” The Board of Education agreed with positive start recognizing staff for many outstanding acts on the first days of school.
