Route #16 is a double route tonight, please wait in the HS cafeteria after school until your shuttle bus arrives to pick you up and take you home. Please direct any questions regarding late buses to the Bus Garage at (217)498-9834.

If you filled out the form to join the Spanish National Honor Society, you should have received a letter in the mail detailing the dates of the Induction Ceremony, as well as the information on the dues. Please remember that the dues and order form for those eligible for cords is due no later than this Friday, March 29 at 3:05 p.m. If you have any questions, please see Srta. Miller or Sra Veenstra.
BAND BOOSTER VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY
Help out the Rochester Band Boosters and meet us from 7:30-9:15 a.m. on Saturday, April 6 at the corner of Williams Blvd. and Lincoln Avenue in Washington Park to help hand out hydration and keep the runners motivated! Bring a sign! Bring an instrument! Just bring you! (RHS Students - Mrs. Hicks in the Junior High can sign for Club U hours!) Wear your Rocket gear! Please RSVP HERE! SENIOR CLASS PHOTOS NEEDED
We are asking that each senior provide one baby or toddler age (1-3 years old) picture and one senior picture ASAP for the video. Photos can be digital or hard copy. Please see the attached letter for additional information - Senior Photo Request Letter
ENVIRONMENTAL WELLNESS CLUB INFORMATION
The Environmental Wellness Club is a club where students will work together to make our school and community a more Eco-friendly place. By adding more flowers/plants into our area, taking out recycling, and picking up trash we can make a much more clean and happy environment. Along with helping the environment, our club will have fun activities for students to come together and have a good time! Please fill out the form to be added to the clubs Canvas page. RHS PTO INFORMATION
The HS PTO needs your help! The PTO is seeking donations to help provide lunch from Cafe Moxo for our staff during Teacher Appreciation Week in May. You can make a donation at PayPal - (RHS PTO @rhsrocketspto) or you can mail in a donation to - Rochester HS PTO - Attn: Heather Cook, 1 Rocket Drive, Rochester, IL 62563. The money collected helps provide lunch and treats during Teacher Appreciation Week. Any donation is greatly appreciated!

RHS COLOR GUARD TRYOUTS
Calling all current 8th-11th graders! The RHS Color Guard is holding their annual tryouts this week, March 26-28 from 3:30 to 5:00 p.m. in the High School MPR. LIBRARY ANNOUNCEMENTS
We are down to our Championship Round for Library March Madness. The top two books are: One of Us is Lying and The Hate U Give. Please use the google link to vote for the 2024 Readers' Choice Book in the High School Library. Vote for the #1 Book!
PSAT & SAT TESTING INFO
RHS will be administering the PSAT 9, PSAT 10 and SAT on Wednesday, April 10. All freshmen, sophomores and juniors will test that day. Students will need to bring their fully charged Chromebooks to school. Cell phones and any other electronic devices will not be allowed in the testing rooms. Additional communication will be shared via email at a later date.
GREECE TRIP
There is still room and time to sign up for the upcoming Greece trip. Students, parents, and friends are welcome to travel on this Educational Tour during July 2024. The deadline to sign up and pay is March 27! If the opportunity interests you, please email either Ms. Bilyeu or Ms. Wycoff for more information soon!

CENTRAL ILLINOIS STEM FAIR INFORMATION
Ticket Registration is open for the 2024 Central Illinois STEM Fair, which will be held on Wednesday, April 10 from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at the RAC. Reserve your free ticket today at https://central-illinois-stem-fair.odoo.com/. The Central Illinois STEM Fair planning committee is looking for parent volunteers to help with running this annual event. No experience necessary! COLLEGE NOW ANNOUNCEMENT
College Now students operate on the LLCC Schedule. This means that Spring Recess follows the LLCC schedule (class meetings happen during the schools' spring breaks if they do not coincide with LLCC's) and closings (class cancellations) also follow the LLCC schedule. If LLCC is open, classes meet, regardless of what is happening in the Rochester School District. LLCC weather closing announcements are available at www.llcc.edu. PARKING
If you plan on driving a vehicle to school this year, you must fill out the parking survey and pay the parking fee. If you have not already completed the survey, please do so ASAP, Rochester HS Parking Survey. Please make sure you are parking in the correct parking spot. Also, all students that park in the back lot will be required to enter through the MPR doors. Students should not be entering any of the other doors on the back side of the HS. If you have any questions, please contact Mrs. Tucker in the Principal’s Office.
ATHLETICS & ACTIVITIES
SPORTS ANNOUNCEMENT
If your student plans to participate in one of our upcoming sports seasons, please visit Athletic Registration to register your athlete. Please go under the 'more' tab and choose athletic registration. We will also need an updated physical on file. Don’t forget to subscribe to “notify me” for your child’s sport, this allows you to get automatic notifications of any schedule changes. If you need to check your child’s physical date or have any questions about the registration process, please contact Kim Hauck at khauck@rochester3a.net.
