ILLINOIS STATE SCHOLARS

Congratulations to our 20 Illinois State Scholars from Rochester High School!  Seniors: Avery Briggs, Joel Brock, Claire Carley, Keaton Fuller, Mason Haag, Mackenzie Haag, Kate Hart, Isaac Hicks, Blaine Hodel, Mason Jacobs, Tucker Loy, Madison Miles, Caroline Nichols, Maria Olson, Lacy Steck, Mara Struble, Benjamin Tuxhorn, Grace Winkler, Brooke Zeibert and Holt Zeidler.


GERMAN CLUB SHIRTS

Attention German Club Members: The 24-25 German Club shirt orders will be taken through December 2.  If you would like to place an order, please submit the order and money to Frau Catarinicchia by 3:05 p.m. on December 2.  Please fill out this FORM to order.


MADRIGAL DINNER & TEA TICKETS

Hear Ye, Hear Ye! Rochester Madrigal Dinner and Tea Tickets will go on sale to the public beginning Monday, November 18 online via GoFan ticketing. Links to purchase tickets will be posted to all school announcements, on the Madrigals Instagram in the bio @officialrhsmadrigals, and on the Rochester Choral Department page on Facebook. All performances are in the Fine Arts Auditorium. 

Madrigal Dinners are Friday-Saturday Dec. 6-7 at 6:30 p.m. - Tickets $30/each. Dinners include a full catered Nelson's 1/2 roasted chicken dinner, potatoes, vegetable, salad, homemade wassail, coffee, and bundt cake dessert. Vegetarian option available and can be indicated on your ticket order.

Madrigal Teas are Saturday-Sunday, Dec. 7-8 at 2:00 p.m. - Tickets $20/each.

Teas include a homemade cheeseball and crackers snack, fresh grapes, coffee, homemade wassail, and bundt cake dessert. 

NEW in 2024 - All shows are offering a no-meal, Concert-Only ticket for $10.

This option allows patrons to attend the second half of the show to hear some of the best musical moments, but without a meal. The concert portion lasts appx 1 hour.

Tea Performances - 3:00 p.m.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY

The Rochester Arbor Committee will have an Arbor Day Observance this Saturday, November 16, starting at Community Park Pavilion on the pond with refreshments at 8:45 a.m.  At 9:00 a.m. there will be a welcome, introductions, and an instructor teaching pruning and other maintenance methods.  This includes pruning, mulching, weeding, maintaining or removing deer cages and stakes. We will provide tools but encourage citizen participation.  After a brief instructional period we will all work on maintaining park trees with ARBOR COMMITTEE members acting as mentors.  We will provide tools but encourage participants to bring their own tools.  Students who are looking for public service hours will be accommodated. 

INTERNATIONAL FEAST INFORMATION

The International Feast will be held next Wednesday, November 20 from 5:30-6:30 p.m. in the Cafeteria. Please fill out this form to let us know what Hispanic or German dish you will be bringing to the International Feast. Please note, you should bring a main dish, side, or dessert, as drinks, plates, napkins, and utensils will be provided by Spanish and German Clubs. Please sign up by no later than Monday, November 18 at 3:05 p.m.   You will also NEED to have the recipe printed out to display by your dish so other students know what ingredients are in it.


GERMAN CLUB FUNDRAISER

The German Club candy fundraiser will continue until November 20!  Please see a German Club member if you would like to purchase an Advent Calendar and German candy!


STUDENT PICTURES

HS/JH Picture Re-Takes will be Monday, November 25, 2024.  If you decide to have your picture retaken, you must turn in your original picture order at that time. 

FRESHMAN FOOTBALL INFORMATION

If you are a parent or guardian of an 8th-grade student who wants to play Freshman Football in the Fall of 2025, please fill out the form on the following link:  RHS Class of 2029 Freshman Football.  This will help the high school coaches anticipate the expected number of players and give football moms the ability to communicate with players and parents in the upcoming months. SOPHOMORE CAREER DAY

Sophomores can sign up to attend the Sophomore Career Day at the Capital Area Career Center on Friday, December 6. We will be leaving school at 8:45 a.m. and returning around 10:30 a.m. Students will have the opportunity to talk to local businesses, military, and see the programs offered at CACC. Permission slips can be picked up from Mrs. Schudel in Student Services and must be returned to Student Services by Monday, November 25. 

RHS PTO INFORMATION

The HS PTO needs your help!  The PTO is seeking donations to provide additional supplies that the HS teachers need in their classrooms. JOSTENS GRADUATION INFO

To order, click the link within the video Informational Video.  Graduation items will be delivered to students in early Spring of 2025. If you need additional information or have any questions, please contact Mrs. Tucker at stucker@rochester3a.net.

ATHLETIC SPORTS PASSES

The 2024-25 Athletic Sports Passes will be available again this year!  You can get yours at any home game.  Cash or check made payable to “RHS”.  The passes are good for RHS and RJHS home events. (Tournaments and Post Season games are not included)  The cost is $200 for a Family Pass (for immediate family only) or $100 for an Individual Pass.

2024-2025 YEARBOOKS ON SALE NOW

The 2024-2025 RHS Rocket Yearbook is on sale now for $70.00. ALL sales for books will be online this year. Click LINK to purchase the RHS 2024-2025 Yearbook to order your yearbook TODAY! Just a reminder that we do not purchase an excess of extra yearbooks, so if you want a yearbook, please make sure to order it NOW!

Students must complete the Parking Survey prior to receiving their parking tag.


COLLEGE ESSAY ASSISTANCE

College essay workshops will be every Monday and Wednesday during Rocket Time in the back of the Junior High Library (Dr. Johnson's new office space). Please send Dr. Johnson an email at tjohnson@rochester3a.net, and she will issue you a pass.

ATHLETICS & ACTIVITIES

SPORTS ANNOUNCEMENT

If your student plans to participate in sports this school year '24-'25.  Registration is open.  At that time, please visit Athletic Registration to register your athlete.  Please go under the 'more' tab and choose athletic registration.  We will also need an updated physical on file.  Don’t forget to subscribe to “notify me” for your child’s sport, this allows you to get automatic notifications of any schedule changes. If you need to check your child’s physical date or have any questions about the registration process, please contact Kim Hauck at khauck@rochester3a.net.
