Bus Route C is a double route tonight, please wait in the HS cafeteria after school until your shuttle bus arrives to pick you up and take you home. Please direct any questions regarding late buses to the Bus Garage at (217)498-9834.
ANNUAL FALL BAND CONCERT
The Rochester Band is proud to present our Annual Fall Concert TONIGHT, Thursday, November 21 in the Rochester Fine Arts Auditorium. The concerts begin at 4:30 p.m. with the Intermediate School, 5:30 p.m. for Junior High Band, and 7:00 p.m. for High School Band.
VOTE FOR OUR MARCHING BAND
Marching bands add a layer to any event's environment. And, even the visiting team's fans will sometimes tap their feet or otherwise be compelled to enjoy the pregame and halftime entertainment by the band. Please take a minute and vote for our very own Rochester HS Marching Band. The poll is open until 9:00 a.m. on Friday, November 22. Link to Vote
STUDENT PICTURES
Retake Picture Day is Monday, November 25, 2024! If you're satisfied with your child's picture, no further action is required. If you purchased and were unhappy with your Picture Package, please send your Picture Package to school with your student on Retake Day. Your Retake Picture Package will be produced and shipped to the school four weeks after Retake Day. Please note, if your child is photographed on the original and Retake Picture Days, the Retake picture will replace the original picture in certain products, like the yearbook.
Students who were absent for Picture Day should come to school prepared to have their picture taken. If you have not pre ordered, please use the Retake Order Code 87914GF to place your order at https://inter-state.com/Order. To see your Order History, check your Inter-State Account. SOPHOMORE CAREER DAY
Sophomores can sign up to attend the Sophomore Career Day at the Capital Area Career Center on Friday, December 6. We will be leaving school at 8:45 a.m. and returning around 10:30 a.m. Students will have the opportunity to talk to local businesses, military, and see the programs offered at CACC. Permission slips can be picked up from Mrs. Schudel in Student Services and must be returned to Student Services by Monday, November 25.
MADRIGAL DINNER & TEA TICKETS
Hear Ye, Hear Ye! Rochester Madrigal Dinner & Tea Tickets are now on sale! Tickets are sold online only via GoFan ticketing. Performances are in the Fine Arts Auditorium.
Madrigal Dinners are Friday-Saturday Dec. 6-7 at 6:30 p.m.
Tickets $30/each. Dinners include a full catered Nelson's 1/2 roasted chicken dinner, potatoes, vegetable, salad, homemade wassail, coffee, and bundt cake dessert. Vegetarian option available and can be indicated on your ticket order.
Madrigal Teas are Saturday-Sunday, Dec. 7-8 at 2:00 p.m.
Tickets $20/each. Teas include a homemade cheeseball and crackers snack, fresh grapes, coffee, homemade wassail, and bundt cake dessert.
NEW in 2024 - All shows are offering a no-meal, Concert-Only ticket for $10. This option allows patrons to attend the second half of the show to hear some of the best musical moments, but without a meal. The concert portion lasts appx 1 hour.

SCHOLARSHIP INFORMATION
SENIORS: For seniors planning to attend Lincoln Land Community College next Fall, the LLCC Foundation Scholarship Application is now OPEN! Please see the information below on how to apply for the scholarship. The scholarship is due February 15, 2025.
First, students must apply to LLCC to be eligible for scholarships.

FRESHMAN FOOTBALL INFORMATION
If you are a parent or guardian of an 8th-grade student who wants to play Freshman Football in the Fall of 2025, please fill out the form on the following link: RHS Class of 2029 Freshman Football. This will help the high school coaches anticipate the expected number of players and give football moms the ability to communicate with players and parents in the upcoming months. ATHLETIC SPORTS PASSES
The 2024-25 Athletic Sports Passes will be available again this year! You can get yours at any home game. Cash or check made payable to “RHS”. The passes are good for RHS and RJHS home events. (Tournaments and Post Season games are not included) The cost is $200 for a Family Pass (for immediate family only) or $100 for an Individual Pass.

COLLEGE ESSAY ASSISTANCE
College essay workshops will be every Monday and Wednesday during Rocket Time in the back of the Junior High Library (Dr. Johnson's new office space). Please send Dr. Johnson an email at tjohnson@rochester3a.net, and she will issue you a pass.

ATHLETICS & ACTIVITIES
SPORTS ANNOUNCEMENT
If your student plans to participate in sports this school year '24-'25. Registration is open. At that time, please visit Athletic Registration to register your athlete. Please go under the 'more' tab and choose athletic registration. We will also need an updated physical on file. Don’t forget to subscribe to “notify me” for your child’s sport, this allows you to get automatic notifications of any schedule changes. If you need to check your child’s physical date or have any questions about the registration process, please contact Kim Hauck at khauck@rochester3a.net.
