SOPHOMORE CLASS MEETING

There will be a Sophomore Class Meeting this Friday, January 24 during Rocket Time in the Auditorium. We will discuss our class fundraiser. 

WRESTLING TEAM RESULTS

The Rochester Wrestling team went 3-0 on Tuesday night and are currently 13-5 on the season. Rochester 53 Deer Creek Mackinaw 30, Rochester 40 Warrensburg-Latham 39, Rochester 57 Williamsville 6.  The following wrestlers went 3-0: 113 Pierce Bultmann, 120 Conner Carroll, 138 Nic Mrozowski, 150 Drake Pfeiffer, 157 James Escobar, and 215 Connor Broughton. Lucie Eisenbarth, Carlly Ho, and Austin Barr went 1-0. 106 Harrison Kolba and 285 Colton Maltby went 2-1, with 126 Miles Carroll going 1-1. As a whole Rochester went 27-4 in matches on the night.

PARENT TEACHER CONFERENCES

Parent/Teacher Conferences for Rochester High School families will be held on Wednesday, February 12 from 3:30-8:30 p.m. Conferences can be held VIRTUALLY OR IN-PERSON.  The default setting is virtual, so if you would like to meet in-person, please use the drop down menu and change the option. Parents should use their Skyward Family Access to schedule 15-minute appointments with their student’s teachers that they would like to visit.  After scheduling your conference(s), parents will be sent a link by the teacher for each virtual meeting via their email. CACC OPEN HOUSE

CACC is holding their Annual Open House TOMORROW NIGHT, Thursday, January 23 from 5:00-7:00 p.m.  Sophomores and Juniors interested in CACC, please bring your parents/guardians and join us for an Open House. This is a great opportunity to tour the labs, meet the teachers, talk with current students, and see if CACC is where you want to be for your Junior and Senior year. CENTRAL ILLINOIS STEM FAIR TICKETS AVAILABLE

Ticket registration is open for the 2025 Central Illinois STEM Fair, to be held on Wednesday, April 9 from 5:30-8:00 p.m. at the RAC. Last year the STEM Fair hosted 80 exhibits and attracted over 1000 attendees from 20 different schools in Central Illinois.  The STEM Fair showcases locally-available STEM activities for students covering a wide range of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics topics.  Reserve your free ticket today at https://centralillinoisstemfair.eventbrite.com/

2024-2025 YEARBOOKS ON SALE NOW

The 2024-2025 RHS Rocket Yearbook is on sale now. LINK to purchase the RHS 2024-2025 Yearbook Just a reminder that we do not purchase an excess of extra yearbooks, so if you want a yearbook, please make sure to order it NOW!  If you cannot remember if you purchased a yearbook yet for this year, please email Mrs. Tucker at stucker@rochester3a.net.

GUIDED TEST PREP PROGRAM

RHS now has a subscription to the Learning Express Guided Test Prep program. This resource offers: Test prep for ACT, SAT, ASVAB, and AP exams, a Resume builder, and a Scholarship database. Students can access it by clicking on the Library Canvas page and following the links for EBSCO. 


RHS PTO INFORMATION

The HS PTO needs your help!  The PTO is seeking donations to provide additional supplies that the HS teachers need in their classrooms.
