DOUBLE BUS ROUTES, 1-24-25

Bus Route N is a double route tonight, please wait in the HS cafeteria after school until your shuttle bus arrives to pick you up and take you home. Please direct any questions regarding late buses to the Bus Garage at (217)498-9834.

WRESTLING TEAM RESULTS

Rochester lost to Lincoln 24-48 and lost to Jacksonville 23-57.  The following wrestlers went 2-0 on the night: 106 Pierce Bultmann, 113 Conner Carroll, and 150 Drake Pfeiffer. 110 Carlly Ho and 126 Miles Carroll went 1-0. Rochester is 13-7 and 6-2 in the CS8.

SPANISH CLUB MEETING

There will be a Spanish Club Meeting next Tuesday, January 28 from 3:15-4:15 p.m. in the HS Library.

BAND BOOSTERS LASAGNA DINNER

It's time for the Band Boosters Lasagna Dinner!  The dinner will be held on Monday, February 10 in the HS Cafeteria from 5:00-6:45 p.m. Tickets are on sale now through noon on Monday, February 3.  Lasagna dinners include: salad, garlic bread, cookies and drink. ROCHESTER ROCKET BLANKETS ON SALE NOW

Rochester Rocket Blankets will be available for pick up at the RAC on Saturday, January 25 from 5:30-6:30 p.m. There are extra blankets available for purchase. Payment is due at pick up ($75 with cash or checks made out to RHS Girls Soccer).  These blankets are large and warm.....perfect for those Spring and Fall seasons or just for curling up on the couch. FCA MEETING

There will be an FCA Meeting next Thursday, January 30 from 7:00-7:45 a.m. in the RAC Team Room for anyone interested. Breakfast will be provided.

“IN OUR SCHOOL” PRESENTATIONS

Rochester High School would like to invite all Rocket Parents and Guardians to a new series of “In Our School” presentations. “In Our School” presentations are for Rochester High School Parents and Guardians and will provide information on important topics concerning our students. The first “In Our School” Presentation, Topic: Vaping will be held on Thursday, February 6 from 6:00-6:45 p.m. in the Auditorium.  Please find below a link to a letter with additional information.  "In Our School" Presentations Informational Letter

PARENT TEACHER CONFERENCES

Parent/Teacher Conferences for Rochester High School families will be held on Wednesday, February 12 from 3:30-8:30 p.m. Conferences can be held VIRTUALLY OR IN-PERSON.  The default setting is virtual, so if you would like to meet in-person, please use the drop down menu and change the option. Parents should use their Skyward Family Access to schedule 15-minute appointments with their student’s teachers that they would like to visit.  After scheduling your conference(s), parents will be sent a link by the teacher for each virtual meeting via their email. CENTRAL ILLINOIS STEM FAIR TICKETS AVAILABLE

Ticket registration is open for the 2025 Central Illinois STEM Fair, to be held on Wednesday, April 9 from 5:30-8:00 p.m. at the RAC. Last year the STEM Fair hosted 80 exhibits and attracted over 1000 attendees from 20 different schools in Central Illinois.  The STEM Fair showcases locally-available STEM activities for students covering a wide range of science, technology, engineering, and mathematics topics.  Reserve your free ticket today at https://centralillinoisstemfair.eventbrite.com/

2024-2025 YEARBOOKS ON SALE NOW

The 2024-2025 RHS Rocket Yearbook is on sale now. LINK to purchase the RHS 2024-2025 Yearbook Just a reminder that we do not purchase an excess of extra yearbooks, so if you want a yearbook, please make sure to order it NOW!  If you cannot remember if you purchased a yearbook yet for this year, please email Mrs. Tucker at stucker@rochester3a.net.

GUIDED TEST PREP PROGRAM

RHS now has a subscription to the Learning Express Guided Test Prep program. This resource offers: Test prep for ACT, SAT, ASVAB, and AP exams, a Resume builder, and a Scholarship database. Students can access it by clicking on the Library Canvas page and following the links for EBSCO. 


RHS PTO INFORMATION

The HS PTO needs your help!  The PTO is seeking donations to provide additional supplies that the HS teachers need in their classrooms.
