ACT TESTING INFO

On Wednesday, April 9, 2025, all freshmen, sophomores and juniors will take the ACT 9, ACT 10 or ACT at school as a part of the State of Illinois testing requirement.  All students will use their school-issued Chromebooks to take the test.  ACT Updating Chromebooks

In order to have a successful testing day, we need students to make sure they bring the following items to school on April 9:

  • Fully charged Chromebook and charger (there will be a limited amount of loaner Chromebooks available)

  • An approved calculator. There’s a graphing calculator built into the app, but students can bring their own if they like.

  • Pen and/or pencil (scratch paper will be provided)

  • Water

Students will not be allowed to leave the testing room once they begin.  If your student has a pre-arranged appointment that morning, they will be scheduled for makeup testing at a later date.  Please note, students will not be allowed to access their phone or any other electronic device during testing.

SENIOR EXPLORATION DAY

There will be a Senior Exploration Day on Wednesday, April 9 and seniors will not be in attendance. Seniors will need to complete 2-3 hours of either: job shadowing, trade/college visit or community service.  A form will need to be signed to verify you completed one of the above activities. The form is linked below or you can pick up a form in Student Services. This will be marked as an UNEXCUSED absence, until you submit the form. It will then be counted as excused.  Senior Exploration Form
