BOYS BASKETBALL ANNOUNCEMENT
If you are interested in playing basketball next year, there will be a meeting during Rocket Time in the RAC on Wednesday, April 23 to go over the summer schedule.
COMMUNITY OPEN GYMS - BASKETBALL
Community Open gyms are being moved to Thursday nights this year. Open gyms will begin Thursday, May 1 in the RAC. There will be no community open gyms in June due to renovations being completed in the RAC. They will start back up on Thursdays in July and run through October. Open Gym Times: Grades 4th-8th (6:00–7:00 p.m.) and High Schoolers and up (7:00–8:30 p.m.)
ROCKET SOFTBALL ANNUAL AVANTI’S GONDOLA FUNDRAISER
The fundraiser will help support field upgrades and equipment for the Jr. High and High School Softball Teams.
Who: Rochester High School Softball Team
What: Selling HALF of an Avanti’s Gondola Subs (sub includes: ham, salami, cheese, & lettuce)
Cost: $5.00 per half of gondola (collected at time of order)
When: Orders will be taken April 11-18
Pick-Up: Saturday, April 26 from 12:00-1:00 p.m. at the Rochester Athletic Complex

ROCKET POMS TRYOUTS
Auditions for both the Rochester High School and Rochester Junior High School Rocket Poms teams will be held next week! Tryouts for the 2025-2026 Rocket Poms will be held on April 22-25 at the 2-3 Building. Current 6th-11th graders are encouraged to audition. RJH applicants will attend clinics from 3:30-5:00 p.m. while RHS applicants will attend clinics from 4:00-5:30 p.m. All clinics will be closed to spectators. Tryouts will be judged on Friday, April 25. More specific details will be discussed with team candidates on Tuesday, April 22. Dancers should contact Coach Kramer at dkramer@rochester3a.net to discuss any scheduling conflicts.
CHEM CLUB MEETING
The Chem Club will have a Special Meeting next Wednesday, April 23 in Mrs. Godar's Room (3157) during Rocket Time. We will be doing a titration. Please see the Canvas page for more information and to RSVP.
JAZZ NIGHT EVENT INFORMATION
Rochester Jazz Night - Saturday, April 26, 2025
Tickets are available at the link 2025 Jazz Night from April 7-17.
Doors Open @ 5:00 p.m. - Buffet Dinner @ 5:30 p.m.
Ensembles perform starting @ 6:00 p.m.
Tickets are $25 (Dinner will be catered by Nelson's and includes: Choice of vegetable lasagna or BBQ chicken, roasted potatoes, green beans, salad, roll, dessert, coffee, tea). For guests who do not want food, there will be a free will offering at the door for bleacher seating.
PROM 2025
The RHS Prom “A Starry Night” will be held on Saturday, May 3 from 8:00-11:00 p.m. at the Artisans Building on the Illinois State Fairgrounds. Tickets are $25.00 each and will be sold online from Monday, April 14 - Thursday, May 1 at 12:00 p.m. (NOON). You can purchase your tickets at the 2025 Prom Ticket Link or scan the QR code on the prom posters around the school. EVERY PERSON ATTENDING PROM MUST HAVE A TICKET IN THEIR OWN NAME. If you have any questions regarding Prom please reach out to Mrs. Gunter or Ms. Seitz.
PROM GUEST FORMS
If you plan to bring a guest from another school or an RHS student that is NOT a Junior or Senior to Prom you must complete a guest form. Guest forms are available in the Principal's Office from Mrs. Tucker from April 14-29. Guest forms are DUE by Wednesday, April 30th to Mrs. Gunter by 3:05 p.m. (NO EXCEPTIONS).
MADRIGALS AUDITIONS
Auditions for the 2025-26 RHS Madrigals will be held May 7 and 8 after school in the Choir Room. Any Rochester student entering 9th-12th grade is welcome to audition, even if you're not in choir this year. The signup deadline is Wednesday, April 30. SENIOR CLASS PHOTOS NEEDED
Attention Seniors and Senior Guardians: Each year for graduation a video is created and shown before graduation. We are asking that each senior provide one baby or toddler age (1-3 years old) picture and one senior picture ASAP for the video. Photos can be digital or hard copy.
