Rochester Rockets Senior Night for Golf, Tennis, Cross Country, Band, Cheer, and Poms will be Friday, September 15 at Rocket Booster Stadium. Seniors will be announced at 6:15 p.m. prior to the football game vs. Jacksonville. Come out and help us celebrate our SENIORS!!!

Afternoon Transportation Update Starting Monday, September 11th, all RIS double route students will take the shuttle buses to the elementary campus. This is an attempt to reduce stops and decrease the length of time students are on the buses.

Friday Night Football - Rockets vs. SHS 7:00 p.m. at Rocket Booster Stadium. A couple of reminders: All tickets can be purchased at the gate on Friday beginning at 5:30 p.m. Intermediate and Elementary students will not be admitted to the game without a parent or adult. Junior High School students must be prepared to show an ID to enter the game. There will be no re-entry for students in grades K through 12. Enjoy the Game and GO ROCKETS!!!

Rochester High School Parents and Guardians, On Wednesday, August 23, we will host our annual Rochester High School Open House. The event is for parents/guardians only and will begin in the Rochester High School Auditorium. Please park in the lot between the RHS Auditorium and the football field. Doors will open at 5:45 p.m. Mr. Reed, Mr. Hawkins, and the RHS Guidance Department will begin with a short introduction promptly at 6:00 p.m.

PICTURE DAY at RHS. Rochester High School Students will have their school pictures taken on Monday, August 21 and Tuesday, August 22 during their PE class. If students do not have a PE class, they will take it during Rocket Time. Please contact the high school main office if you have any questions.

It was a FANTASTIC FIRST DAY at Rochester High School. We are so fortunate to have great students and staff. From the start of the day to dismissal, students and staff were observed smiling, laughing, learning, and having fun. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK RHS!! GO ROCKETS!!

Rochester High School Students and Families, We are so excited to see our high school students tomorrow. Just a reminder, the school day begins at 8:05 a.m. and dismissal is at 3:05 p.m. Tomorrow is an “A” Day for students. Below are a few items concerning student parking, parent and bus drop off and pick up. Please contact the office if you need anything at 217-498-9761. We look forward to a GREAT 2023-2024 school year. Have a great evening and GO ROCKETS! Mr. Jeff Reed and Mr. David Hawkins Arrival: -Students driving or dropped off to school will use the back of the high school entrance doors directly across from the Rochester Athletic Complex by 8:00 a.m. each day. -Students arriving by bus will be dropped off at the front of the building between the junior and senior high school. Dismissal: -Students will exit the building using the doors in the back of the high school across from the Rochester Athletic Complex at 3:05 p.m. daily for pick up or to drive home. -Bus Pick-up is in front of the high school outside student services. Student Driving and Parking: -Students will receive their parking passes during Rocket Time by Friday, August 18. -Students may park in ANY spot Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday. -Beginning Monday, August 21, students may only park their vehicles in the parking space to which they are assigned. -The parking sticker must be on the back rear window on the right hand (passenger) side of the vehicle. -Vehicles must be parked in the lot so that the rear window is facing the aisle.

Attention: Rochester High School Sophomores and New Students! NEW Google Chromebook pick up is Wednesday, August 9 between 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. or Thursday, August 10 between 10:00 a.m. and noon. Please enter the high school at the athletic office entrance. Mr. Reed (principal) will be there to greet and direct you to Mrs. Tucker (secretary) and Mrs. Flynn (technology director) for pick up.
