Friendly Reminder from RIS: We are taking the Illinois Assessment of Readiness (IAR) starting tomorrow. Be sure student's Chromebooks are fully charged and they have headphones!
RIS will be taking the Illinois Assessment of Readiness (IAR) next week. Please be sure your student charges their Chromebook over the weekend and each night. Please also be sure your student has headphones they can use with their Chromebook.

RIS will be open from 1-2 pm on Sunday 3/9/25 if you would like to come and join in a poster making & decorating event to create motivational signs and decorations to support our students as they take the IAR state assessments.
We will have some materials, but please feel free to bring your own as well!

REMINDER: Winter break runs from December 23rd - January 6th. Teachers return on January 6th for a Teacher Institute day. Students return to the classroom on January 7th. Enjoy your winter break
6th grade Swing Choir students please be sure to bring a sack lunch and drink today for the practice day at the Junior High. You may also like to pack a snack for the afternoon.

Reminder, please be sure to contact the RIS Office by THIS Thursday if you have a Veteran who will be joining us for our Veteran's Day Ceremony at RIS! Our ceremony will take place next Monday, November 11th at 1:30 PM in Intermediate School Gymnasium.

Route B will be late and is scheduled to be pick up students at approximately 4:15 at the schools.
As a reminder, in the morning Rochester schools open at 7:30 am if families need to drop off students instead of waiting for a bus. In the afternoon students in EC-1, 2-3, and RIS will be supervised at EC-1 until their buses arrive. Students at RJHS and RHS impacted by double routes will stay at their buildings until buses arrive.
RIS Families: Our RIS Open House is next Thursday, August 22nd from 5:30-6:30pm. Please come in and see the building and meet your child's teachers. We'd love to have you.
Join us at RIS students and parents of 4th graders and students who are new to RIS for this school year on August 5th from 6-7pm.
Bus 7 will be doubled this monring (5/20/24) and picked up by Bus 2.
