RJHS Student Council
Thank you to ALL the students who applied for student council. The interest was extremely high, which made for a VERY tough decision. The 24-25 RJHS student council member list is posted outside Mrs. Jett's door. Congratulations to the members and our first lunch meeting will be Wednesday, September 11th in the science lab.
RJHS Girl Basketball
Girls basketball tryouts will be held on September 10th and 11th from 3:15 - 4:45.

New admission fees: Adults $8, Students/Seniors/Veterans $6 (Annual family passes are also available for $200). Rochester K-12 students are free.
Intermediate/elementary students will not be admitted to the game without a parent or adult.
Jr high students must be prepared to show an ID to enter the game without a parent.
Footballs are not allowed inside the stadium. All balls will be confiscated.
There will be no re-entry for any students in grades K through 12.
Open containers/Yeti mugs are not allowed inside the stadium

Tailgating is allowed, but only on the far east end of the parking lot (near the tree line)

The 2024-25 Athletic Senior Passes will be available again this year! Get yours at the home games. Cash or check made payable to RHS. Good for RHS and RJHS home events. (Tournaments and Post Season games are not included)

RJHS PTO
PTO is looking for new members for the 2024-2025 school year! We are needing a Secretary/Treasurer and other PTO members to help. If you are interested in joining the Jr. High PTO please let us know. Rochester VFW Essay Contest
The Rochester VFW is once again supporting the VFW Voice of Democracy audio-essay contest. This year's theme is "Is America Today our Forefathers' Vision?" Scholarship prizes will be awarded at the local, state, and finally a $35,000 national grand prize winner. Information and entry forms can be picked up outside Mrs. Rezba’s room. Entries must be submitted to Mrs. Rezba by October 30.

Attendance Reminder
Dr./Dentist/Ortho. Notes
Make sure that Doctor’s notes are being brought to the Jr High office after the appointment or if your student has been sick. That note will change that absence in Skyward from a parent excuse - AE to a doctor excuse - AD. Remember that students get 10 parent excused absences (AE) in a school year. After 10 they will be considered unexcused (UU). You can have your student bring in the note to the office or you can email the note to cjones@rochester3a.net .
Mental Health Days: you are allowed 5 mental health days in a school year, but those are also part of your 10 excused absences (AE) that were mentioned above. If 10 absences have been taken, all absences going forward will be marked as unexcused unless there is a doctor’s note for that day.

Safe2Help is a 24/7 program for students, staff, and families to share school safety issues, find resources to get help, and find encouragement to help others. Anyone can call to talk to a trained staff member about abuse, bullying, depression, self-injury, or suicidal thoughts for themselves or other students.
