RHS Yearbook
All 8th grade students who came to the meeting and showed interest in RHS Yearbook, please email Ms. Starr astarr@rochester3a.net so she knows how to contact you. Here is the application form for RHS Yearbook. Along with your application you will need to get 3 teachers to complete the recommendation form.
8th Grade Class of 2029 - Jostens Packet - Due Wednesday
Jostens recently met with your 8th grader, discussed their transition to high school, which is coming this year, and what it means to make the commitment to graduate with their class. We want to make sure that you and your families are getting all of the same information that was presented to your student during the meeting.
Students were given a packet if you would like to purchase items there is an order form or items can be purchased online. All orders are due by March 5th.

ROCHESTER BAND PIZZA FUNDRAISER 2025 -Due Friday
Rochester School Band Families:
The Band Boosters principal fundraiser is our annual Antonio’s pizza sale. 50% of all pizza sales revenue benefits the 5th through 12th grade Rochester Band Program by funding new instruments/equipment. To reach our revenue goal, we need to sell 1500 pizzas! (Don’t need pizza, but still want to support the program? Customers are also allowed to donate money to the Band Boosters program directly.) Sales take place from February 21st through March 7th. Order forms are due March 7th to your band director! Order forms will be sent home on February 21st AND they will be emailed by Mr. Gunn and Ms. Roberts. The pizza build will be Saturday, March 15th. Please find more details HERE.
RHS Color Guard - Next Week
All current 8th-11th graders, Color Guard tryouts for the 2025-2026 team are coming up!
Come learn a new and unique skill during our three day tryout. March 10th,11th, and 12th
3:30-5:00 pm in the RHS Auditorium. Hope to see you there!

Attendance Reminder - Winter is here!
Dr./Dentist/Ortho. Notes
Make sure that you are calling your student out on days they are sick or have a doctor appointment. This way the office does not have to call you later to check in or they can have your child ready for early pick up.
Make sure that Doctor’s notes are being brought to the Jr High office after the appointment or if your student has been sick. That note will change that absence in Skyward from a parent excuse - AE to a doctor excuse - AD. Remember that students get 10 parent excused absences (AE) in a school year. After 10 they will be considered unexcused (UU). You can have your student bring in the note to the office or you can email the note to cjones@rochester3a.net .
Mental Health Days: you are allowed 5 mental health days in a school year, but those are also part of your 10 excused absences (AE) that were mentioned above. If 10 absences have been taken, all absences going forward will be marked as unexcused unless there is a doctor’s note for that day.

Tardy Bell 8:05
We have had a number of students coming in late to school. They need to be in their classrooms ready to learn when the bell rings at 8:05. They will be marked Tardy-Unexcused if they are coming in after the bell. Parents please drop off your student with ample time for them to get to class before the bell rings at 8:05. Double route buses do not count towards tardiness.
