Yearbooks are on sale for $20 each until January 31st. Go to inter-state.com/order with the code 72570H. (That is a zero not an O). Please keep a copy of your digital receipt for your records. Students will be bringing a flier home too! Any questions, email brezba@rochester3a.net.

Jazz Band Lasagna Night
Join us Monday, February 20 th in the Rochester JH/HS Cafeteria for our annual
Lasagna Jazz Night! The RIS 6th grade jazz band, RJHS jazz band, vocal jazz, and RHS jazz band & vocal jazz will perform. Tickets must be purchased by February 13th for the event. Food will be served from 5:00 pm – 7:00 pm. See the attached flyer for more information. No meals may be purchased at the door. Tickets available at this link or scan the QR code on the flier.
Dr. Notes
Make sure that Doctor’s notes are being brought to the Jr High office after the appointment. That note will change that absence in Skyward from a parent excuse - AE or an unexcused absence -AU to a doctor excuse - AD. Students are only allowed 6 AE absences in a school year, after that they will be counted as unexcused - AU.

STEM Fair is back!
The Rochester Athletic Complex will be the site of the 2023 Central Illinois STEM Fair on Thursday March 30, from 6 to 8 pm. The STEM Fair will feature science, technology, engineering, and math clubs and activities from Rochester and throughout Central Illinois. This event is free and open to all K-12 students and their families from Rochester and other area schools.

Teachers, if you would like to exhibit your STEM curriculum or after school activity, answer YES to the exhibitor question on the ticket reservation to claim your spot. Questions? Online Safe Online Smart (Digital Safety Webinar)

Safe2Help
Safe2Help is a 24/7 program for students, staff, and families to share school safety issues, find resources to get help, and find encouragement to help others. Anyone can call to talk to a trained staff member about abuse, bullying, depression, self-injury, or suicidal thoughts for themselves or other students. You can access Safe2Help by calling 844-4-SAFEIL, texting SAFE2(72332), or emailing help@safe2helpIL.com.
Sign Up for Student Health Services:
We want all students to have access to student health services. With Hazel Health, students now have access to doctor visits right from the school nurse’s office, and virtual visits from home.
We’re launching our health services program for this school year, and we want to make sure your family has access to these services all year long. Our district is hosting a Consent for Care Drive to ensure 100% of families learn about our student health services from Hazel Health. With Hazel, students can immediately speak with a Hazel doctor right from school or at home.
On-demand health services include:
Medical treatment: For stomach aches, headaches, sprained ankles, asthma concerns, and everything in between
Medication: Prescriptions written or over-the-counter provided at school when needed
Coordination: With family physician and return to school communications
